As Art Director and Project Lead, I took DK’s My Big Book of Phonics from brief to print: a 144-page visual reference where every spread is packed with illustrated words for children to point to and sound out. I coordinated the freelance illustrators and designers to keep style and quality consistent across the whole book, reviewed every spread against DK’s guidelines for the Super Phonics series, and managed the feedback and approval rounds with the client, turning comments into clear actions for the team. I then prepared and checked the final files to production standards so they were ready for print. The book was published in the UK in December 2024 and followed by a US edition in January 2025, and it is now sold and stocked in libraries across the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
